More election stuff.
February 3, 2008 – 1:39 pmI’ve been thinking.
Say Hillary Clinton is our next president. That would mean that my entire life up to this point will have been spent under either a Bush or a Clinton (minus the first two, which were the Reagan years still). Let’s assume she gets elected and serves two full terms. See what follows:
Bush 1: 4 years.
Clinton 1: 8 years.
Bush 2: 8 years.
Clinton 2: 8 years.
4+8(3) = 28 frakking years under either a Bush or a Clinton. I’ll be 30.

Then maybe another Bush will win, you are never going to escape.

I love how you said frak. I shall call this the geek influence in language borrowing.

My friend, It may interest you to know that Financial Times writer Martin Wolf predicted during William Jefferson Clinton’s first term that we would see a Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush presidency in the US. He predicted Bill would repeat, be replaced by W for two terms, who would be replaced by Hillary for two, who would be replaced by Jeb. He then noted, tongue in cheek that by then Chelsea would be old enough to run and may well replace Jeb. I just hope we can end the cycle of abuse soon.

Isn’t Frak borrowed from Michael Ausiello?

@Lon
Are you serious? *nausea*
@Sarah
Frak is from Battlestar Galactica.

I get a lot of flak for saying frak.

Yes - really - that was Wolf’s prediction. But really, do you think the US will elect another Bush after the last 8-years? (My comment is not an editorial - simply the view of a marketing professional* looking at the numbers.)
Obama moved in front of the current Clinton candidate this weekend(depending on what those silly Super Delegates do …) and maybe Wolf just didn’t see that coming when he prognosticated.
Or maybe, Wolf is a part of the New World Order and knows because they pick them! (YES-JUST KIDDING!)
* Is there such a thing as a marketing professional? No idea. Very much doubt it though.
