I owe you guys one.

So, I figure I can take ten minutes out to say a few things and post a Sunday blogthing. I am about ready to lose my mind. I have finished 3 of 4 papers, and can’t bring myself to start the final one. I have three finals back to back on Tuesday, and no, I don’t know how that happened. My last test is on Thursday, after which I intend to (i) celebrate and (ii) begin a detoxification regime, because when I am stressed, I eat and drink like crap, don’t sleep, don’t get quite enough exercise, and tend to shirk on simple things like washing my hair completely or brushing my teeth thoroughly — all of which actually increase my stress levels. It’s a vicious cycle, really.

Anyway, here is today’s blogthing:

There’s a 36% Chance You’ve Been Abducted By Aliens

Even though you have a few alien abduction signs, you’re almost certainly in the clear.
However, if aliens ever do come to your neck of the woods… they’ll probably be coming for you!

I am America.

Again, sorry.  This is all I have time for this week.  Don’t hold it against me.

You Are “Dizzy and Giddy”

Temporary hiatus.

You may only see scheduled features the next week or two.  I am running to finish the semester.

Kitchenware and Candybars.

I apologize for the string of meaningless posts.  I will find more meaningful things to do when I am not so busy.  Anyway, the following isn’t necessarily accurate, but it’s kind of funny:

You Are the Middle Finger

A bit fragile and dependent on your friends, you’re not nearly as hostile as you seem.

You are balanced, easy to get along with, and quite serious.

However, you can get angry and fed up with those around you. And you aren’t afraid to show it!

You get along well with: The Index Finger

Stay away from: The Pinky

I am Highly Tolerant of Minority Speech Communities.

(NOTE: If you are reading this on Facebook, it is because I decided to start importing posts again.)

I really need to be working on a couple of papers, but I haven’t updated yet either, so…

The university Model Arab League team held it’s final dinner tonight for the purpose of celebrating and holding elections for next year’s officers. My weekend was already terribly packed with homework, but I decided to go since I wanted to run. Only three of us ran, and I was elected co-president, with my duties being primarily administrative, such as running meetings and the like, the other co-president takes the position as head delegate (I am glad he chose that position, since he is more able than me as far as politics are concerned), and the VP’s duties are not yet established. So yeah…go me. On a related note, being one of only three people to show up to the final humanities student council meeting, I was elected secretary by default. Yay default!

Anyway, I am a little stressed. The semester was structured in such a way that I spent all my time doing problem sets and readings, that I really can’t start working on papers until the last 20 days or so. Oh, the conundrum.

Of course this happens the one time I decide to check my bag.

So, I missed Sunday Blogthings, mostly because I was gone Sunday. I had expected to get back early, early Monday morning, but my plane from DC to New York was delayed by 3 hours, and was ultimately diverted to some tiny airport in Pennsylvania to get more fuel. After finally making it to New York, I had missed my connection by several hours. I was forced to spend the night in a hotel. If you are ever in this situation, don’t take a Delta employee’s recommendation, because you will end up in a sleazy little place where the doors don’t close all the way and 30 % of the channels are porn, and 30% are in Spanish. Needless to say, I didn’t fell all that comfortable sleeping, so I stayed awake watching Futurama and took the first shuttle of the morning to the Airport. My flight to Salt Lake was also delayed.

Anyway, I really enjoyed my time at NUMAL in DC, which may be why I had a bad trip home. I met some cool people on my council.

Oh, and this isn’t a blogthing, really, but it’s still awesome:
